Fall 2019 ORC- Week 4

Week four has flown by and although it seems like not a lot of progressed happened, in reality we spent hours getting our brick wall grouted and painted! I wanted it to have that overgrouted mortar/slurry wash, where the grout is almost flush with the face of the brick. Here was some inspiration photos:

Even though it took us quite a bit of time, I’m happy to say we got the look! We had to use a trowel to fill the spaces with mortar, then we lime washed for a base coat, and painted with our wall paint (BM White Dove) over that for the top coat. I’m keeping the distance pictures for the reveal, but here’s a couple close-up sneak peeks:

Things are getting close, and the furniture for the space is taking longer than expected, so we will be down to the wire on delivery and getting it all installed in time for the final reveal. Make sure to check here for the other participants spaces!
